April 28, 2023 - RV-10 Build |
I haven't posted about the RV-10 project in awhile. Quite a bit has been done. The engine mount and landing gear are one. Brake lines are run. |
A good look at one of the wheels, brakes and brake line. Also, notice the two Comm bent-whip antennas are installed.
Elevator push-rod mechanism in place. Also the pitch and yaw autopilot servos.
Rich and Nhu-An spent all winter mounting the avionics and VPX powerbox behind the panel and wiring it all up.
The forward upper fuselage on the airframe.
From another angle. Yes, lots of wires. All labelled, of course.
One of the GPS antennas mounted on the after upper fuselage.
The center-upper-consule glued to the cabin cover.
Gradually mounting things to the firewall: the Starter Contactoer and Monkworkx backup alternator regulator.
The passenger bottom floorboards riveted in and protected with cardboard.
The Battery Contactor is mounted on the battery box behind the baggage area. The big 4 awg wire runs from the battery contactor up to the starter contactor on the firewall.
A little messy at present behind and under the panel. That red retangular box just right of center is the Vertical Power VP-X electronic circuit breaker system.
